    Paul PJ Driscoll
    PJ began his love for carving in 1992. He has been a member of the Mid-America Woodcarvers since that time and has held numerous positions on the CCA board including president. He is also a member of Affiliated Wood Carvers and Eastern Woodland Carvers Club.

    Wayne Laramore
    Wayne has received many awards and ribbons while carving. He has been awarded the Caricature Carvers of America Award in 2012, 2013, and 2017. His biggest award was getting membership into the CCA September 2017.

    Jim Hiser
    Jim started carving in 2000 after attending his first Wood Carving show in Mechanicsburg Pa. He tried many styles of carving until taking his first caricature carving class with Peter Ortel, and immediately knew this was the style of carving he wanted to do. Always enjoying the humorous side of life he found caricature carving allows him to express this.

    Speaker: Carol Leavy
    Carol has competed in competitions in the Midwest . She won the CCA Merit Award in 2015, Third Best of Show in the CCA competition in 2018 , two Best of Show Awards and numerous other ribbons and awards. Seeing a collection of carved Santas in 2007 inspired her to pursue her interest in woodcarving. Her first seminars at The International Woodcarvers Congress in 2008 with Mike Shipley and Phil and Vicki Bishop, cemented that interest.

    Sketching the blocking of caricature head and profile
    Speaker: Bob Travis
    Bob is a retired Professor of Agronomy, University of California, Davis, CA. He has been carving for over 30 years. Early on he tried several carving styles, but he soon focused on caricature carving. He especially enjoys the humor in caricature carving and is delighted when his carvings draw a smile from observers. Bob is a founding member of The Caricature Carvers of America (CCA). He has been active in CCA duties having first served as president in the mid 1990’s.
